Kerstin Jürges is head of the Sustainable Purchasing / CSR division, which is part of the Marketing / Distribution department of EDEKA ZENTRALE AG & Co. KG. In this position, she has had many years’ experience in the company's purchasing department. Her division deals with the topic of sustainability as regards the entire product range and individual products and, amongst other things, with social standards. Looking at the assortment, the topic of “sustainable fishing”, launched in 2009, represents one of the most important sustainability projects of the EDEKA Group. In this context, EDEKA has entered into a long-term co-operative arrangement with the WWF.
