Juliën Hanssens is a Netherlands-based enterprise architect and fractional CTO with 15+ years of experience designing and building scalable software platforms in complex, data-intensive environments. His work spans maritime and fisheries, satcom, manufacturing, utilities and fintech – often at the intersection of operations, compliance, and interoperability.

As Chief Technology Officer at Pacifical, Juliën leads the development of the SmarTuna platform, helping fishing companies, processors and brands improve end-to-end transparency and data integrity in seafood supply chains. He focuses on solution architecture, product strategy and traceability and interoperability standards, working closely with domain specialists to translate real-world complexity. He leads a team of around a dozen experts and remains hands-on where it adds value, partnering on targeted R&D initiatives to validate new approaches and capabilities.

In addition to his work with Pacifical, Juliën serves as a Digital Architect at Securancy Intelligence in the Netherlands, where he leads cross-functional teams in developing customer-facing digital platforms. Holding a BSc in Business Administration and an MSc in Software Engineering, he combines strategic business insights with technical expertise to align technology with business objectives.
