Miguel Barreiro holds a degree in Industrial Engineering (ICAI), a Bachelor’s in Market Research (ICADE), and an Executive Development Master’s. Alongside his career in the private sector, he also contributes as a lecturer in postgraduate programs at USC, Universidad Complutense, ESIC, and the UIE Seafood Management Program.
With 30 years of experience in the Consumer Goods industry, he began his professional path at Nielsen Spain, spending a decade working closely with major retail chains. He later served as General Manager of Conxemar—the Spanish Association of Wholesalers, Importers, Exporters, and Processors of Fish and Aquaculture Products—for two years.
Since 2008, he has built his career in the consulting sector. After leading teams across Iberia, the UK, and Germany, he transitioned into European and Global leadership roles in 2015. He currently serves as Senior Vice President in NIQ’s global consulting division, where he leads worldwide Price, Promotion, Assortment, and Space Optimization solutions for both physical retailers and e‑commerce channels.
